Steph Steph & Claire Smith Henshaw

Steph Claire Smith and Laura Henshaw, the dynamic duo behind KIC, are redefining what it means to be well. From breaking down toxic diet culture to promoting sustainable self-care, these two women are a formidable force… and we suspect they are just getting started. With over 2 million followers on social media, over 850,000 downloads of their app across 120 countries, they are 100% Women to Watch in 2025 – and it’s our absolute pleasure to share their story.

Changing the Narrative
Steph and Laura’s mantra for 2025 is simple yet profound: “You are enough as you are right now.”
It’s a rallying cry to women everywhere to reject the relentless pressure of perfection and instead embrace their innate worth.
In a world where women are often made to feel they aren’t enough, Steph and Laura are working to change the conversation. Through Kic, they are tackling insecurities and dismantling the toxic diet culture that has plagued the fitness industry for decades. “Wellness isn’t about punishment or restriction,” Laura shared. “It’s about creating a positive relationship with your body and mind.”

Leading by Example
Both women credit their own personal journeys as inspiration for the habits they promote – and in 2025, that is a focus on small, sustainable habits that can take anywhere from 5 to 20 minutes. “It’s about showing up for yourself in ways that feel good and achievable, not exhausting or unattainable.” Steph explained.

Steph’s 2025 Habits:
Staying consistent with mini-movements, eating more vibrant, nourishing foods (inspired by her toddler, Harvey), and carving out moments for herself to breathe and recharge. “Children are like sponges,” Steph shared. “I want Harvey to see me prioritising myself so he grows up with that example.”

Laura’s 2025 Habits:
Reading before bed, staying hydrated by always carrying a water bottle, and spending more time moving outdoors to manage stress and stay balanced. She’s also committed to reducing her time on her phone, a shift from last year’s whirlwind. “I wasn’t prioritising myself, and it showed,” Laura admitted.

Growing the Movement
From their first small community workout in 2016, where just three people showed up, to recent events with over 400participants, Steph and Laura’s community has blossomed. This growth is reflected in their Kicapp, which continues to expand with exciting updates, including new run programs and clubs, gym workouts, Pilates programs, and personalized features tailored to individual needs.

Looking Ahead
As they move into 2025, Steph and Laura are more committed than ever to helping women embrace health on their own terms. They’re leading the charge for a more compassionate, realistic approach to wellness—one that leaves space for imperfection while celebrating progress, and reminding us all: you are enough as you are right now.
