Tell us a bit about your shoot – where, when, the idea behind it, etc…
I’ve been a wellness expert contributor to Women’s Fitness magazine for over a year and have been living in Los Angeles where I have been producing and hosting my Podcast, Well to Do.
Upon returning to Bondi, we decided to spontaneously shoot a cover to inspire readers to understand fitness and healing as not just ‘physical’, but also, energetic.
A January appearance on the Today Show show, featured quantum energy, and Leela Quantum, so we brought that to life here! I am wearing the same harmonising necklace that Zac Efron has also been seen wearing on his Instagram post playing golf, shirtless.

Are there any other funny anecdotes you can share about this shoot?
We had to plan the shoot within days before I headed back to America! Normally people plan and prepare to appear on a cover with a fitness and dietary protocol to get extremely lean.
Being in my 50s, I’m quite proud of the fact that fitness and wellness have been a solid part of my life for three decades, and even though I didn’t have time to prepare, I realised that this fit, 52-year-old body is the byproduct of my lifestyle anyway.
A healthy body looks different on every person!
You may be fit, and lean, but it doesn’t always necessarily mean you are well.

Do you have a morning routine that you swear by?
Vitamin G is the attitude of gratitude. I wake up every day thanking God that I get to live another day. About three years ago I was suffering and literally dying with breast implant illness and had an explant. There was an undetected rupture that six surgeons and an MRI didn’t detect. Apart from removing the deep shame of why I did this to myself in the first place, I now adopt and even cleaner living protocol and have been having Chiropractic adjustments weekly for almost 29 years.
Consuming two glasses of room temperature water, moving the cortisol from the morning with stretching or walking and not looking at technology for the first half an hour allows you and your body to produce better melatonin production for a better sleep at night. I also swear by making sure that your environment is mould free and that you parasite cleanse at least once a year.
Was health and fitness important to you growing up, and how has your fitness philosophy changed over the years?
I was a professional dancer for most of my teenage and in my 20s years, then I trained BJJ and martial arts in my 40s but what has stayed consistent is weight training. This is crucial for slowing aging.

Talk us through your weekly training split.
Any kind of pulling, pushing and functional fitness movements are done consistently between 3-5 times a week.
Postural correction and neurological exercises are a game changer because your spine is the window to your health. I’m a qualified Chiropractor’s assistant, and have written about neurological stretches in my eight health book, Connected.
Walking every day is a non-negotiable and hiking or climbing stairs instead of using an elevator is my mindset.

How do you stay motivated on days when you don’t feel like working out?
Movement is life. Being too sedentary is a non-negotiable. At times, I’ll honour the rest periods so that I can fire back the day after.
If you’re not in activewear at the gym, where can we find you and what are you most likely to be doing?
I am a red carpet reporter and television host for Los Angeles media company, Press Pass LA. I interview celebrities for the Premier of their movies and other events.

We live in an age of social media where people have more access than ever to our lives and are quick to judge. How do you handle negative comments or criticism online and in real life?
Gone are the days where people get to think that they can judge you for aesthetics. We don’t know what somebody has been through in terms of trauma or injury, and it’s healthy to go through different phases of life. If people are being negative, I just remind myself that most people don’t look like me in their 50s. My energy is vitalistic and it shows! Impossible beauty standards are a thing of the past. We are all just doing the best job we can.
What self-care strategies do you use to maintain positive mental health?
This is where our quantum healing really comes into play.
Leela Quantum upgrade is a system designed to help us harmonise with EMF pollution. It allows us on a molecular structure level, to adapt to the radiation and environmental toxic stressors that we face every day which impact us on a cellular level. Everything depends on quantum energy.
I was inspired by German born co-founder Philipp Samor von Holzendorff-Fehling & the research he’s got, along with his former role as an executive for T-Mobile where he saw the ramifications of electromagnetic fields. That’s why he created Leela Quantum upgrade. This isn’t merely a sticker on the back of your phone or anyone pulling down 5G towers. Leela Quantum is my prediction of the new billion dollar health industry. Using the Leela Quantum products in your home may help you with better sleep, better energy, and better structuring water, supplements, medicine or food. The universe consists of an infinite number of quantum fields which bring matter into form & shape reality, in all forms our bodies are always interfacing with the quantum field and receiving or losing energy.

What is your approach to nutrition? How do you maintain balance and still enjoy your favourite foods?
If you can kill it, or grow it, you should eat it. Food that is alive, contains life. Nutrition is intelligence. It has an intelligence and over processed and packaged foods no longer contain the life, force or micro nutrition that we need to stay vital. We must also be dynamic with our diet. What worked for us last week or last year won’t necessarily work for us this year or this week.
What’s your go-to treat?
As a certified food, lifestyle and wellness coach, I look for treats that are as close to nature as possible.
One of my favorite cakes, I often make is in my book, Eat Fat, Be Lean. Good fats from plants fuel the hormones and nervous system.

Who inspires you?
My son. He is my Oracle. He just turned 16.
You’re working out in the gym – what are you listening to?
I think I’m the only person that doesn’t use AirPods. I don’t need music to be inspired.

Reflecting on your whole journey to date, what are you most proud of – personally or professionally?
I turned my pain into purpose. It certainly hasn’t been an easy journey, but moving countries, and being invited to the official inauguration of MAHA in Washington DC was a highlight. Recently I was invited to President Trump‘s private residence Mar-a-Lago to talk about Explant surgery and my 10th book, Treasured Chest is being turned into a documentary.

What is the best piece of advice you’ve ever been given?
I’ve witnessed so much media bullying. It isn’t OK. A defamation lawyer once said to me that I’m a powerful broadcaster & storyteller, and to always remember to create my own narratives. I pass this on to my wellness coaching clients. What are you creating. What is your inner dialogue? How will you rewrite the story of your own life?
