Name: Camilla Thompson
Location: Central Coast, NSW
Expertise: Biohacking
Morning Mantra: I love & approve of myself

Camilla, your book has taken Australia by storm — even Dave Asprey is a raving fan. Tell us about it, and why do you think it’s been so popular?
Yes — Dave Asprey actually endorsed it, which was pretty surreal. He’s known as the godfather of biohacking, so receiving his support was a huge moment.
I think Biohack Me has resonated because it makes biohacking accessible — particularly for women. So much information in this space feels male-dominated, expensive and overwhelming. I didn’t have thousands of dollars or hours a day to devote to complex routines, so I created something practical, realistic and achievable.
The book is built around my Biohacking Basics framework, which focuses on foundational habits that actually move the needle. Many people are struggling with their health and don’t have access to personalised care — yet it’s often the simple, consistent changes that restore balance.
My passion lies in preventative, proactive and personalised health. This was the book I wish I’d had when I was navigating my own health challenges — and I wanted to share that knowledge so others have the best chance at living better, longer.
This year, I’m expanding that mission through more keynote talks across Australia, New Zealand and internationally — from corporate wellness events to women’s health summits. Biohacking is for everyone, and I want this knowledge in as many hands as possible.

We hear you’re heading to Bali to run a retreat in May — tell us more! Can we attend?
Yes! I’m co-hosting the Live Well Longer women’s health retreat again this May at the beautiful REVĪVŌ Wellness Resort in Nusa Dua. It’s a truly special place — where soul meets science.
We ran the retreat last year and were honoured to win Group Retreat of the Year through Destination Deluxe. What makes this experience unique is the depth of personalisation. Every guest completes comprehensive pre-testing, including hormone (DUTCH), DNA methylation, mould exposure and gut microbiome assessments, allowing us to uncover root causes and tailor the entire experience.
We host just 16 women, with full exclusivity of the resort — including access to Bali’s first longevity and medical clinic. The experience blends cutting-edge science with deep restoration: biohacking, sound healing, red light therapy, hyperbaric oxygen therapy, IVs, movement, hot-cold immersion, massages, blessings and full-moon ceremonies.
It’s intimate, powerful and genuinely transformative.

Why are you so passionate about biohacking?
Biohacking became my lifeline. I spent years unknowingly living in a mould-infested home and became incredibly unwell. I had to take full responsibility for my health.
It took me 18 months to detox the mould from my body and reverse chronic inflammation — using affordable, accessible biohacks. In the process, I reversed my biological age by 10 years.
That experience changed everything. I want people to know the body is remarkably intelligent — it wants to heal. It just needs the right environment, support and information.

What are your top three biohacks our readers can start today — affordable, actionable and effective?

  1. Clean up your diet
Remove refined sugar, excess carbs and alcohol for just one month and notice the shift. Focus on real, whole foods — food that’s been alive.
  2. Sweat regularly
Saunas are one of the most powerful longevity tools we have. If you don’t own one, find a local gym or wellness centre — or try a sauna blanket. The research is clear: benefits span detoxification, cardiovascular health and stress resilience.
  3. Get into nature
Even five to ten minutes a day can reset your nervous system – something we all need.

Thank you so much, Camilla. How can our readers connect with you?
Thank you — I really feel this year is going to be a good one.
