A Mother-Daughter Adventure Curated by B Farm
Imagine a place where adventure meets relaxation, and every moment feels like a sun-kissed dream. That’s exactly what my daughter and I experienced during our recent trip to Port Stephens, all thoughtfully curated by the wonderful team at B Farm. Our journey began at Bannisters Port Stephens, a boutique hotel located close to Nelsons Bay. The beautiful pool was the highlight for us and put a huge smile on my little one’s face, fun for hours – happy days! We had dinner at Rick Stein at Bannisters and were entertained by a local koala in a gum tree sleeping the evening away.
Adventure!
Eager for some adventure, B Farm organized a hike up Mount Tomaree for us. The trail was a bit of a workout (hello, glutes!) and my 8 year old daughter might’ve moaned a good amount of the way up but reaching the summit rewarded us with panoramic views that made every huff and puff worthwhile.
Sunset Serenity: Sailing into Bliss
One evening, we set sail on a sunset cruise with Blue Water Sailing Port Stephens. Picture this, the sky painted in hues of orange and pink, the gentle sway of the boat, and the sound of water lapping against the hull. Pure magic and the freshest of food cooked for dinner and served as the sun finally kissed the ocean good night.
Beachy Keen: Birubi Beach and Marine Encounters
Our adventure continued at Birubi Beach, the expansive sand dunes are so impressive and the beach is pure magic, we caught waves in the crystal water until sundown.
On yet another adventure perfect for families was a visit to the Shark, Ray and all creatures rescue aquarium which allowed us to interact with marine life; snakes and exotic birds, an animal lovers paradise. We were waist deep in a tank and surrounded by small sharks and rays which played with us like puppy dogs of the sea. I have to say they were very cute, I know.. a shark – cute, go figure!
Farm Fun: B Farm
The highlight of our trip was visiting B Farm itself. This place is an absolute gem. After a delicious High Tea, we spent hours playing with adorable piglets and other friendly animals that live at the farm. I had to drag my mini away from all of her new fury besties with a promise to visit again soon.
The on-site brewery, distillery, and winery cellar door added to the charm, making it a must visit spot. Plus, their beautiful gardens are perfect for a leisurely stroll or a family picnic.
