The Luxury boutique hotel in the Southern Highlands that has it all
There are some places you visit that instantly make you feel at home. Others transport you to a different world entirely. Then there’s Osborn House, a rare blend of both. Nestled in the stunning Southern Highlands of New South Wales, this luxury retreat seamlessly fuses indulgence with nature, creating an escape that’s as restorative as it is breathtaking.
I recently had the pleasure of experiencing Osborn House with my daughter, and from the moment we arrived, we were completely captivated. Whether it was the stunning interiors, the next-level food, or the immersive wellness experience, every detail of our stay was thoughtfully designed for relaxation and enjoyment.

A Luxury Retreat Immersed in Nature
If there’s one thing Osborn House gets absolutely right, it’s the balance between comfort and the great outdoors. Every moment feels deeply connected to nature, yet wrapped in pure luxury. We started our mornings with crisp country air and uninterrupted views of the surrounding landscape, a welcome contrast to city life.
One of the highlights? The spa deck. This outdoor wellness space is a haven for relaxation, featuring a sauna, a hot tub, and a cold plunge, all surrounded by native bushland. There’s something undeniably
special about soaking in warm, bubbling water while being
greeted by a curious kangaroo hopping by, a surreal moment we won’t soon forget.
For those who love to stay active, Osborn House also boasts a large indoor pool, perfect for swimming year-round. There’s also a tennis court for those keen to get a hit in between moments of relaxation.

Suites, Terraces & Cabins Designed for Pure Comfort
The accommodations at Osborn House redefine luxury, with a mix of suites, terraces, and cabins to suit every type of traveller . Our suite was nothing short of spectacular, spacious, inviting, and designed with both style and relaxation in mind. A fireplace added an extra touch of coziness, while the bathtub on the balcony turned our stay into something out of a dream. There’s something undeniably indulgent about sinking into a warm bath with a glass of wine in hand, completely immersed in nature’s beauty.

A Culinary Experience Worth Travelling For
Let’s talk about the food because Osborn House delivers big time. Every meal was a masterpiece, crafted with fresh, local ingredients and bursting with flavor. Whether you’re on a health-focused retreat or fully embracing indulgence (or, like me, balancing a bit of both), the dining experience caters to every craving.

Adventure Beyond the Retreat
The Southern Highlands is a region known for its natural beauty, and staying at Osborn House means you have access to some incredible outdoor activities. We took advantage of the bushwalks in the area, immersing ourselves in the lush scenery, and for those looking for even more adventure, you can also organize horse riding or take out the in-house push bikes for a tour around the quaint little town of Bundanoon.
Wine lovers will also appreciate the fact that wineries are just a short drive away, making for a perfect afternoon escape before returning to the comfort of the retreat.

The Wellness Factor: Relaxation & Rejuvenation
For those looking to reset both body and mind, the on-site spa is a must-visit. Offering everything from deep-tissue massages to rejuvenating facials, it’s the perfect way to unwind and recharge. Pair a spa treatment with the outdoor hot tub and sauna, and you’ve got the ultimate relaxation trifecta.

The Verdict? A Must-Visit.
Osborn House is more than just a luxury resort it’s an experience. It’s a place that invites you to slow down, reconnect with nature, and indulge in life’s finest comforts. Whether you’re planning a wellness retreat, an active escape, or simply a chance to reset, this is a destination that delivers on every level.
