Six Senses Bali

When Six Senses Uluwatu appears on Condé Nast Traveler’s list of the best resorts in Indonesia, it’s easy to assume it’s because of the view. And yes — the view is extraordinary. Perched high above the Indian Ocean, the horizon feels endless, expansive, and serene.

But after spending time here, it becomes clear that the real magic isn’t just visual. It’s visceral. It’s the energy of the place — and the people within it. There’s a calm that settles in quickly, one that feels genuine rather than curated. The staff carry a warmth and ease that can’t be trained. That energy speaks louder than any award, and it’s what stays with you long after you leave.

My Villa: Private Pool, Cabana and all.
The villas are designed with spaciousness in mind — space to think, to feel, to slow down. My suite was absolutely the way to go, complete with a private pool, cabana, and sweeping, jaw-dropping views. The kind you see in the movies. Except it’s real — and it’s right in front of you.
Six Senses, both as a brand and here in Bali, nails minimalism with a touch of bohemian luxury. Neutral colours, earthy tones, natural textures — it oozes effortless chic without ever trying too hard.

The giant king-sized four-poster bed overlooking the ocean definitely deserves a call-out. Not only as a sleep expert, but as a seasoned traveller, I can confidently say: an absolute 10/10. The kind of bed that makes you want to linger a little longer, sipping your morning coffee in complete silence, stillness, and serenity.
And then there’s the bath. A giant, beautiful tub — again, overlooking that endless ocean. I dove straight in as soon as I arrived. No hesitation. It was the perfect nervous system reset and the ideal prelude to dinner. Ooft.

Breakfast, Balance, and Morning Mimosas
Breakfast here is nothing short of showstopping — and nothing says you’re on holiday quite like a morning mimosa.
After celebrating the small victory of actually getting out of that delicious bed, head over to the endless buffet. You’ll find everything you could ever want — and then some. The freshest tropical fruit, local favourites like gado gado (with the most delicious sauce I’ve tried yet), sushi, every kind of bread imaginable, and no fewer than eight homemade condiments.

Feeling savoury? Dive into the local dishes. Feeling sweet? The cakes are genuinely impressive — and the banana bread? A solid 10/10.
Once you’ve filled your plate (or gone back for seconds), do what I did: sit outside overlooking that incredible view and just take it all in. Take a moment to really arrive. So often we’re so busy that we forget to pause — and the moment passes us by.
Trust me, this is one you’ll want stored in your memory bank for good.

Sound Healing That Shifts Something
The sound healing session was another absolute standout.
At first, it felt gentle — subtle vibrations, soft tones. And then something shifted. The body softened in a deeper way. A heaviness I’d been carrying — tension, emotion, mental load — finally released. The space allowed me to truly drop inward, without effort or expectation.
Sound healing has long been my favourite healing modality, and this experience confirmed it yet again. Here, it felt truly magical — not dramatic, not performative, just deeply real.
A Spa Experience to Sink Into

And then there’s the spa — how could we not mention the spa?
My massage was so powerful I swear I was transported to another dimension. It’s the little things that make the difference — choosing my scent on arrival, the tenderness and intuition of my therapist’s hands. She knew exactly where to go without me having to say a word.
The treatment room mirrored my villa: calm, spacious, and infused with that same understated luxury.
The best part? At the end, when you’re deeply relaxed — calm, still, completely in your body — the buggy gently takes you back to your room. No rushing. No snapping back to reality. Just a little longer to linger in the stillness.
Bliss.

No wonder Condé Nast Traveler rated Six Senses one of the best hotels in Indonesia. When you visit, you’ll understand immediately.
Enjoy the bliss that awaits.
