From the moment I spot that sparkling blue water from my plane window, I’m all in. “I’m coming for you, Fiji!” The journey to Six Senses Fiji is pure fun, thanks to a speedy boat ride that gets me right into island mode as soon as I arrive.
Arrival and Getting Settled
Stepping off the boat, I’m greeted by a warm staff who instantly make me feel at home. They lead me to my villa, which has all the essentials for ultimate relaxation—a super comfy bed, my own private pool, and loads of thoughtful touches that make it feel like a personal sanctuary. Of course, I can’t resist a quick ocean dip to shake off the travel vibes. The water is clear, warm, and totally perfect—the kind of experience that makes you feel like you’ve hit the reset button on life.
Wellness, Fitness, and All the Good Stuff
Six Senses Fiji nails the balance between chill time and activities that make you feel amazing. You can dive into a personalized wellness program here—think yoga, massages, and meditation tailored just for you. They’ve got a killer setup: herbal saunas, hot and cold plunge pools, a steam room, and refreshing waterfall showers that make every day feel like a mini spa day. The fitness options are next level too. There’s a full gym and a yoga pavilion where you can stretch out and enjoy the island vibes. You can go all-in on activities or just take it slow—it’s all about finding what feels best.
Eating Well Without Even Trying
When it comes to food, Six Senses Fiji keeps it fresh and local, with plenty of healthy options that don’t compromise on flavor. Fresh seafood, vibrant salads, and light yet satisfying dishes make it easy to eat well. And yes, the cocktails are colorful and delicious if you feel like indulging a bit. You’ve got options, too: an all-day restaurant with Fijian-meets-international cuisine, a family-friendly pizzeria called Teitei, and even an outdoor cinema to keep the kids entertained while you savor your meal. The best part? It all feels effortless—you can eat like you’re on vacation without feeling weighed down.
Doing Good While Having a Great Time
Six Senses Fiji takes sustainability seriously, which is pretty refreshing to see. They’re off-grid for the most part, using solar energy and rainwater collection to keep the resort running. It’s also a fully plastic-free zone, so you can relax knowing your stay has a minimal impact on this stunning environment. The resort’s organic garden supplies fresh produce, while “Cluckingham Palace” (yes, that’s the actual name!) provides fresh eggs. They’ve even got beehives, which means the honey and honeycomb on your breakfast are as local as it gets.
Outdoor Adventures and Island Fun
If you’re up for some adventure, Six Senses Fiji has got you covered. Try paddleboarding, go snorkeling, or join a guided hike to really soak up the natural beauty. And if you’re a diver, the resort’s dive center offers access to some of the most stunning underwater spots in the South Pacific—think colorful reefs and all the marine life you can imagine. For those who like to keep up their fitness routine, the gym and jungle gym give you a unique island workout experience. And if you’re more about low-key wellness, the yoga and meditation sessions are just the thing for calming your mind and taking in the peace around you.
The Perfect Escape for All Kinds of TravelLers
Six Senses Fiji is a dream spot for anyone who wants a balance of relaxation, adventure, and a dose of wellness. You can totally customise your experience, whether you’re here to recharge or dive into island activities. From sunrise yoga to sunset cocktails, everything just feels natural and easy. So, if you’re looking to unwind, reset, and reconnect—with nature, your well-being, or just a good book by the pool—Six Senses Fiji is the perfect escape. I left feeling recharged and grounded, ready to bring a bit of that island zen back home with me. I was invited as a guest of Tourism Fiji and Fiji Airways
