Taryn’s entrepreneurial journey began not with a grand plan, but with a simple observation—and a fearless determination to fix what wasn’t working. “I never set out to be an entrepreneur,” she shares. “I just saw problems that needed fixing and, with the blissful naivety of youth, thought, ‘I can solve that!’”
At just 21, she launched her first business, WINK Models, revolutionizing talent management with an ethos of transparency and fairness. In an industry where models waited 45+ days for payment, WINK’s seven-day payment policy was unheard of. Coupled with an innovative tech platform to manage operations, the agency grew consistently for 18 years, boasting over 500 models nationwide.
But Taryn wasn’t done. In 2016, she founded theright.fit, a revolutionary two-sided marketplace connecting brands with creative talent. With the backing of venture capital, she scaled the platform to 17,000 talent and 11,000 clients across APAC before successfully exiting in 2022, selling to an international group.
By 2023, Taryn had co-founded #Gifted, a platform enabling brands to collaborate with influencers through contra gifting programs at scale. Esteemed brands like Estee Lauder, GHD, Frank Body, Koala, and H&M have embraced the platform, which continues to grow exponentially.
