Kayla Itsines

Our cover girl Kayla is 100% a Woman to Watch in 2025. With almost 16 million followers on Instagram, she’s been named by Time Magazine as “one of the most influential people on the internet”, featured on the BRW rich list (listing those who have not inherited their wealth), and amassed a name as Australia’s favourite personal trainer… all while remaining incredibly humble, down to earth and committed to her mission of making fitness fun, attainable and accessible for all… and we are beyond grateful to share her story.

From humble beginnings
From her earliest days in Adelaide, Australia, Kayla was drawn to the world of fitness. But unlike the cookie-cutter approach often seen in the industry, Kayla envisioned something different: a space where women of all shapes, sizes, and abilities could feel seen, supported, and celebrated. As a young personal trainer, she listened to her clients’ struggles and frustrations—many of whom felt overwhelmed by the demands of traditional fitness regimens.
Determined to change this, Kayla developed the Bikini Body Guide (BBG), a program designed specifically for women, focusing on quick, effective workouts that could fit into even the busiest lives. Her methods went beyond fitness; they addressed the emotional and psychological barriers women often face, creating a sense of empowerment with every step, squat, and rep.

Building a Global Sisterhood
What began as a humble PDF blossomed into a global phenomenon, thanks to Kayla’s ability to foster connection. Women from all over the world joined her community, sharing their before-and-after stories and cheering each other on. This spirit of sisterhood became a cornerstone of her brand, creating a movement where women uplift one another—not just in fitness, but in every aspect of life.
Her Sweat app is now a go-to for millions, offering programs tailored to diverse fitness levels and goals. It’s not just an app; it’s a lifestyle, a source of motivation, and a reminder that women are stronger together. When Sweat was acquired in 2021 for an incredible $400 million, it wasn’t just a business milestone—it was a victory for women-led innovation in an often male-dominated industry.

Strength in Vulnerability
While her achievements are staggering, Kayla’s authenticity is what truly sets her apart. She openly shares her personal challenges, from battling endometriosis to navigating life as a working mom. These moments of vulnerability remind her followers that strength comes in many forms—and that even the most successful women face their own hurdles.
Kayla has shown that it’s okay to not have it all together, all the time. Her message is clear: fitness isn’t about perfection; it’s about progress, resilience, and learning to love and care for yourself every step of the way.

Empowering Every Woman
Kayla’s impact extends far beyond the gym. She has redefined what it means to be a leader in fitness, not by focusing on appearances, but by celebrating health, confidence, and community. She has inspired countless women to realize their own power—to take control of their health, embrace their bodies, and encourage others to do the same.
Her journey proves that when women come together to support and uplift one another, incredible things happen. Whether you’re lacing up your sneakers for the first time or looking for a boost to keep going, Kayla’s story reminds us all: you are stronger than you think.
